Board changes
Following the announcement made on 15 August 2012 that the Company had entered into a non-binding term sheet arrangement with a potential provider of debt capital, the Company announces that Barry Giddings, the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive of Avia has stepped down from the Avia Board with immediate effect.
Roger Lane-Smith, Non-Executive Director, has agreed to become Non-Executive Chairman and Jeremy Dale, Clinical Director, has agreed to become Interim Chief Executive. Both appointments take immediate effect. Further, the Company has commenced the search for a full-time Chief Executive and an additional Non-Executive Director. The Company will make further announcements regarding these appointments as and when appropriate.
