Board Appointment

Carillion plc is pleased to announce that Keith Cochrane has been appointed a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 2 July 2015. Keith will serve on the Audit, Remuneration, Nomination, Sustainability and Business Integrity Committees.

Keith will become Senior Independent Non-Executive Director on 1st September 2015, in succession to Steve Mogford who will stand down on 31st December 2015.

Keith Cochrane, aged 50, is the Chief Executive of Weir Group, the FTSE100 engineering business providing innovative engineering solutions in global energy and natural resource markets.  

Keith Cochrane joined the Weir Group as Finance Director in July 2006 and was appointed Chief Executive in November 2009. Following a number of years with Arthur Andersen, Keith joined Stagecoach Group plc in 1993. He was appointed Finance Director in 1996 and Group Chief Executive in 2000. He joined ScottishPower plc in 2003 where he became Director of Group Finance.

He is a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
