Change of Auditor
The board of directors of Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia" and the "Company") has recommended the appointment of BDO LLP ("BDO") as the Company's auditor at the forthcoming annual general meeting which is scheduled to take place on 21 July 2021.
The recommendation to appoint BDO follows the completion of a competitive audit tender process which included participation by the incumbent auditor KPMG LLP ("KMPG") amongst other firms. Further details regarding the tender process were set out in Caledonia's annual report for the year ended 31 March 2021.
In accordance with section 519 of the Companies Act 2006, KPMG has deposited a statement with the Company that there are no circumstances in connection with it not seeking reappointment at the conclusion of its term of office which it considers should be brought to the attention of members or creditors (the "Statement").
As required by Listing Rule 9.6.1R, copies of the Statement and a covering letter to shareholders have been uploaded to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at https://data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism. Copies can also be viewed on the Company's website at www.caledonia.com.
