Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Cineworld Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Bowcock as its new Chief Financial Officer. He will take up his new role and join the Board as an Executive Director of the Company on 1 December 2011.

Philip's previous experience spans senior financial roles in property, retail and leisure activities, having acted as Financial Controller at Barratt Developments plc, Finance Director for Tesco's UK property portfolio, Vice President Finance at Hilton Group and latterly as Finance Director at Luminar Group Holdings plc ("Luminar").

In respect of his role as Finance Director at Luminar, Philip had joined a new management team in 2010 which sought to address the financial challenges facing the business at that time. The company was ultimately placed into administration on 27 October 2011.
