CHIME COMMUNICATIONS PLC

"Chime" or "the Company"

Chime announces the purchase on the 24 March 2010 by the Chime Communications plc Employee Trust ("the Trust") of 1,178,855 ordinary shares of 25 pence of the Company ("Shares") at a price of 186 pence per share.

The Shares were purchased by the Trust to meet future obligations under the Company's share-based incentive schemes.

The total holding of Shares by the Trust as a result of the purchase of Shares notified above is 2,568,975 (3.5% of the issued share capital of the Company).

This notification has been triggered by the Trust crossing above the 3% threshold in accordance with DTR Rule 5.1.2.
