Chime Communications PLC14 June 2007 Chime Communications PLC ("Chime" or "the Company") Director's Dealing - Exercise of Options and Sale of Shares The Board of Chime announces that, on 13 June 2007, it approved the exercise of a number of share options (0.58% of the issued share capital) under the Chime Executive Share Option Scheme to certain Directors of the Company: Piers Pottinger (Deputy Chairman of the Company) - 500,000 options Christopher Satterthwaite (Chief Executive of the Company) - 1,000,000 options Mark Smith (Finance Director of the Company) - 56,542 options The exercise of options by Christopher Satterthwaite and Mark Smith was overexisting shares held by the Chime communications Plc Employee Benefit Trust (the"EBT"). The exercise of options by Piers Pottinger was over new shares. The newChime shares will rank pari passu with all existing Chime shares. Therefore theissued share capital of the Company has increased by 500,000 shares representingan increase of 0.19%. Piers Pottinger subsequently sold 500,000 (0.19%) Chime shares at a price of 53.5 pence per share on 13 June 2007. Following this transaction Piers Pottinger's interest in Chime is unchanged at 2,145,600 (0.8%) shares. Christopher Satterthwaite subsequently sold 1,000,000 (0.38%) Chime shares at a price of 53.5 pence per share on 13 June 2007. Following this transaction Christopher Satterthwaite's interest in Chime is unchanged at 449,401 (0.17 %) shares. Mark Smith subsequently sold 56,542 (0.02%) Chime shares at a price of 53.5 pence per share on 13 June 2007. Following this transaction Mark Smith's interest in Chime is unchanged at 540,918 (0.2%) shares. The Chime shares referred to above are Chime's ordinary shares of 5p each and the total number of shares in issue is 265,701,040 with each ordinary share carrying the right to vote.
