("Chime" or "the Company")

Director's sale of ordinary shares of 25 pence in the Company "Shares"

The Board of Chime announces the release of awards from Chime Communications plc Employee Trust ("Trust") under the Chime Communications plc Co-Investment Plan 2006 ("the Plan").

Lord Bell (Chairman) and Christopher Satterthwaite (Chief Executive) received awards of 312,863 and 336,016 matching Shares respectively under the Plan. In addition, 42,900 shares awarded to Lord Bell under the Deferred Share Plan 2006, and held by him in the Trust under the terms of the Plan as deposited shares, were transferred into his holding as a result of the maturity of the Plan.

Piers Pottinger (Deputy Chairman) and Mark Smith (Finance Director) vested their awards at the earlier vesting date of March 2010 (at the discretion of the Remuneration Committee) although the award shares were restricted from sale until the original September 10th vesting date.

As a result of the vesting, the following sales of shares by Directors took place on the 13th September 2010:

Lord Bell

Lord Bell received 364,763 shares as a result of the release of awards and sold 182,348 shares to satisfy the tax liability arising on the vesting of the award shares. The remaining shares were transferred to his existing holding. As a result of the vesting and the sale of shares Lord Bell now holds 728,597 shares (0.99% of the issued share capital of the Company).

Christopher Satterthwaite

Christopher Satterthwaite received 336,016 shares as a result of the release of awards and sold 172,227 shares to satisfy the tax liability arising on the vesting of the award shares. The remaining shares were transferred to his Suffolk Life SIPP. As a result of the vesting and the sale of shares Christopher Satterthwaite now holds 257,840 shares (0.35% of the issued share capital of the Company).

Piers Pottinger

Piers Pottinger sold 344,334 shares from his existing holding of 508,623 shares to meet outstanding financial commitments. As a result of the sale of shares Piers Pottinger now holds 164,289 shares (0.22% of the issued share capital of the Company).

All of the sales notified under this disclosure were at a price of 195 pence per share on Monday 13th September 2010.

The Chime Shares referred to above are Chime's ordinary shares of 25p each and the total number of shares in issue is 73,432,119 with each ordinary share carrying the right to vote.
