New Appointment to Board

Clarity Commerce Solutions plc (AIM:CCS), a leader in the delivery of mission-critical retail transaction processing systems, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Houldsworth to its board as an Executive Director with immediate effect. 

Anthony Houldsworth (46) ("Tony") co-founded MATRA Systems, which provides Point of Sale solutions to a number of blue-chip retailers and theme park operators.

"Clarity has moved this year from a recovery phase to a growth phase as demonstrated by previously announced major sales such as Universal Studios. With the successful conclusion of the previous Matra earn out agreement, Tony's marketing and customer relationship skills are now able to be used across the Group and his appointment to the Board recognises his increased role within the Group" commented John O'Hara, Clarity Commerce Chairman.

Tony graduated from Salford University in 1984 with a first class honours degree and since then has had an extensive background in the IT industry. Tony and his related parties have an interest in 757,576 ordinary shares of 25p each, representing 2.4 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
