Purchase of Shares by a Director

On 22 September 2008, Charlemagne Capital Limited ("Charlemagne", the "Company"), was notified of a purchase of shares in the Company by Michael Baer, non-executive Chairman of the Company.

Mr Baer purchased on 22 September 2008, 100,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each at an average price of 28.97p per share.

As a result of this purchase, Michael Baer now has an interest in 215,341 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each or 0.076% of the total number of Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each in issue.
