Appointment - Director of Underwriting

Ron Collinswill join CATCo Investment Management Ltd in the newly created role of Director of Underwriting. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Tony Belisle and indirectly to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Jason Bibb, Ron will have shared responsibility for CATCo-Re Ltd's underwriting functions with Graham Wood. All investment portfolio's continue to be managed by Tony Belisle supported by a strong and experienced investment/reinsurance team.

Ron has 30 years of reinsurance underwriting and broking experience most recently as Senior Managing Director at Aon Benfield with a focus on the development and execution of various collateralized reinsurance opportunities across the property, marine, aviation and satellite classes of business. His prior broking experience also included comparable responsibilities at Benfield Group and Willis Re. Previously, Ron was Chief Underwriting Officer of the International Reinsurance division of Reliance National Company generating significant gross, and net, profits across the above classes of business principally for London and European based syndicates and companies.
