Northern Petroleum Plc ("Northern" or "the Company") Director's Shareholdings

The Company has been informed that Derek Musgrove, Managing Director of Northern, yesterday transferred 97,795 ordinary shares of the Company from his personal holdings to his SIPP at a price of 96.50p per share, being the prevailing mid market price at close of business. This transfer does not alter Mr Musgrove's total beneficial shareholding of 950,000 ordinary shares, which represents 1.35 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company.
