British Smaller Companies VCT PLC06 September 2007 British Smaller Companies VCT plc ("the Company") Announcement in respect of holding in Cozart plc The Company holds 3,895,419 shares in Cozart plc representing approximately 3.5%of that company's issued share capital. Earlier today Cozart plc announced therecommendation of a cash offer from Concateno plc at the price of 57.5 pence pershare. This price per share represents a premium of 13.5 pence per share over the bidprice at 30 June that was incorporated within the net asset value of the Companywhich was announced on 9 August 2007. Consequently should this recommended offerhave become unconditional on 30 June the effect would have been to haveincreased the Company's net asset value per share from 98.4 pence per share at30 June 2007 to 100.4 pence per share, an increase of 2.0%.
