Appointment to the board of The Property Ombudsman
Belvoir Lettings PLC, (AIM; BLV) one of the UK's largest lettings franchises, is delighted to announce that CEO Dorian Gonsalves has been appointed to the Board of Directors of The Property Ombudsman (TPO).
The Property Ombudsman is a UK government-approved organisation which aims to provide better consumer protection for home buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, by providing independent conflict resolution and raising standards of service in the residential property industry.
The Property Ombudsman provides a "free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between sales and letting agents who have joined the TPO and consumers who are actual or potential buyers or sellers or landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK".
Belvoir, which now has almost 150 offices across the UK, practices self-regulation through membership of the National Approved Letting and Property Ombudsman schemes.
Commenting on his appointment, Dorian Gonsalves, CEO, said:
"The TPO is a highly respected consumer redress scheme and I am very proud to have been invited to join the Board of Directors. I am looking forward to representing franchisees and the lettings industry and providing input and offering solutions to help improve the experience of landlords and tenants when dealing with a lettings agency.
