Appointment of Chief Executive

Swallowfield plc, the leading cosmetics, toiletries and household goods group, is delighted to announce the following Board appointment:

Mr Chris How is appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effective 15th July 2013. Chris has extensive international experience across the personal care and household sector, having held senior General Management and Sales & Marketing positions with PZ Cussons and Colgate Palmolive.

He has previously been Managing Director PZ Cussons Australia; Regional Director PZ Cussons Europe, Asia, South Pacific; Managing Director PZ Cussons UK; General Manager, Colgate Palmolive Benelux; as well as holding European and UK Sales Director positions within Colgate Palmolive.

Martin Hagen, interim Chairman, commented "I am delighted to welcome Chris to the Board as Chief Executive, he brings extensive skills and deep sector experience and we look forward to working together on the next chapter in the development of Swallowfield".

As a consequence of the above appointment Mr Ian Mackinnon will step down as Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Company on the 15th July 2013, one month ahead of the date previously announced. He will remain available to help and assist to ensure an orderly handover is completed.
