Aukett Swanke Group Plc (the Group) ("ASG"), the international group of architects and interior designers is pleased to announce the following proposed board change.
Raúl Curiel will be re-joining the Group as a non-executive director with effect from 12th February 2019. As previously announced Anthony Simmonds will be retiring as Chairman at the AGM on March 28th 2019 and, subject to the approval of that meeting, will be replaced as Chairman by Raúl.
Raúl's career as a professional architect spanned some 45 years up to his retirement in 2015. Working in both the UK and internationally he delivered over 300,000 square meters of space and specialised in the design of Corporate Offices, Business Parks and Master Planning.
During his career he has been Chairman of Fitzroy Robinson, European Managing Director of its successor Aukett Fitzroy Robinson, and subsequently a non executive director of the Group until 2010.
The Board is delighted that he has agreed to accept this post where his long history and unique experience within the Group's operations will prove invaluable as the Group's restructuring continues during this long period of adverse trading conditions. His experience overseas is particularly welcome and relevant in this volatile economic and political climate.
Mr Curiel holds 9,240,018 shares in ASG representing 5.6% of the issued share capital.
