The following amendments have been made to the 'Director dealing' announcement released on 09 January 2014 at 10.30am under RNS No 2809X.

Mr Best's total beneficial interest and percentage holding in the Company's issued share capital were incorrectly stated as 209,342,882 and 4.49% instead of 301,399,448 and 6.46% respectively. All other details remain unchanged. The announcement released by the Company on 07 January 2014 under RNS No 0708X also incorrectly disclosed Mr Best's total beneficial interest and percentage holding in the Company's issued share capital, but those figures have been superseded by this announcement.

Atlantic Coal, the AIM quoted anthracite coal mining company operating in Pennsylvania, USA, has been informed that Stephen Best, Managing Director of Atlantic Coal, today acquired 3,730,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 0.2638p per Ordinary Share. Following this purchase, Mr Best now has a total beneficial interest in 301,399,448 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 6.46% of the Company's total issued share capital. 205,612,882 of these Ordinary Shares are held in the name of Mary Best, wife of Stephen Best.
