Directors' dealings

Atlantic Coal, the AIM quoted anthracite coal mining company operating in Pennsylvania, USA, has been informed of the following purchases of ordinary shares of 0.07p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") by directors:

· Peter Chinneck, Non-executive Director of Atlantic Coal, today acquired 5,000,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 0.24p per Ordinary Share. Following this purchase, Mr Chinneck now has a total beneficial interest in 218,000,000 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 4.68% of the Company's total issued share capital.

· Mary Best, wife of Stephen Best, Managing Director of Atlantic Coal, today acquired 4,117,583 Ordinary Shares at a price of 0.2392p per Ordinary Share. Following this purchase, Mrs Best (and therefore indirectly Stephen Best) now has a total beneficial interest in 205,612,882 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 4.41% of the Company's total issued share capital.
