Ashley House PLC25 April 2007 Ashley House plc Appointment of new Chairman Ashley House plc ("Ashley House" or the "Company") the Primary Careinfrastructure specialist today announces that Sir William Wells (66) has beenappointed Chairman of the Board. Sir William takes over from David Burton CBEwho retires from the Board with immediate effect. Sir William brings a wealth of experience to the Board having held numerouspositions in both the Public and Private sectors in a career that has spannedmore than 40 years. From 1964 Sir William worked as a Property Consultantbecoming Partner at Chesterton and Sons in 1966, Managing Partner in 1984 andChairman of the business following incorporation in 1991 until his retirement in1997. His board level experience commenced in 1972 and since that time he hasheld positions in many well known organisations. Sir William began a parallelcareer in the Public Sector in 1968 as a Governor of the Royal Free Hospital inGrays Inn Road and has continued unbroken in the NHS to date, together withother posts in health, education and science including: Chairman of the NHS Appointments Commission (2001-2007) Chairman of the Commercial Advisory Board to Department of Health (2003- current) Chairman of the University of Surrey Vice President to the Royal College of Nursing Trustee of the NMSI (National Museum of Science and Industry) Vice President of the NAHCF (National Assoc of Hospital & Community Friends) Member of the King's Fund Executive and Management Committees Sir William has been granted 100,000 share options at 159p per share, theclosing price on 24 April 07.
