New appointment to Advisory Council

APQ Global, the emerging markets income company, is pleased to announce that it has made a further appointment to its International Advisory Council ('IAC') with Dimieari Von Kemedi who will focus on opportunities in West Africa.

Von has had a career spanning civil society, government and private sectors and is well acquainted with social and economic trends in West Africa.

He is currently Managing Director of Alluvial Agriculture and DW Agriculture, two leading agriculture companies in West Africa with a philosophy of working with smallholders to use traditional landholdings to improve rural economies and contribute to African economic development and food security.

Von has served a number of senior level expert and consulting positions, including with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the UN Panel of Experts on Liberia, Statoil and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Von holds a law degree from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt and has served as an Environmental Politics Visiting Fellow at the University of California Berkeley where he studied and wrote extensively on oil and community conflict in the ecologically sensitive Niger Delta.

Tania Rotherwick, Chairwoman of APQ Global's International Advisory Council commented: "We are delighted that Von has agreed to join our increasingly strong team of advisors on APQ Global's International Advisory Council. His experience in business, projects, organisations and research in West Africa will be of major benefit as we seek to continue to explore exciting opportunities across the region. The continuous flow of local insights drawn from across emerging markets is helping to inform APQ Global's business strategy of delivering reliable income to shareholders."
