Further to the announcements of 27 June and 8 August 2017, Mayan Energy Limited is pleased to announce that Heriberto ('Eddie') Gonzalez Jr., Chief Executive Officer, has today subscribed for a total of 23,333,334 new ordinary shares in the Company on the same terms as the Placing announced on 8 August 2017 (the "Shares"), that is at 0.3p per Share. These shares are being issued in settlement of outstanding director's fees owed to Eddie.
Application will be made for the Shares, which will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM ('Admission'). It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealings will commence on or around 21 August 2017.
Following the issue of the Shares, Mr Gonzalez's total holding will comprise of 24,166,667 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 3.85% of the enlarged issued share capital.
The enlarged issued share capital of the Company will consist of 628,323,114 Ordinary Shares. No shares were held in treasury at the date of this announcement. The total current voting rights in the Company are therefore 628,323,114.
This announcement contains inside information for the purposes of Article 7 of EU Regulation 596/2014.
