Operational Update Shoats Creek ("Shoats") - Lutcher Moore ("LM") 13 Shallow Well,

Mayan Energy Ltd (AIM: MYN), the AIM listed oil and gas company, wishes to announce that results from the planned perforation at the 710 foot level, are still awaited, and the Company will report them once they have been received. The delay is attributed to the requirement of the State of Louisiana Office for Conservation requiring the Company to do additional work to the well before perforation, so as to protect the known water aquifers which run through the property. This additional work has set the Company behind a few days.

Mayan has a 50.00% WI and 37.7% net revenue interest ("NRI") in the LM 13 Shallow Well.
