Receipt of Funds
Further to the announcement of 17 February, Altona Energy Plc ('Altona' or 'the Company'), the AIM listed energy company, announces the completion of the proposed placing of the 20,000,000 ordinary shares placed with institutional investors at 5.0 pence per share ("the Placing Shares"). The Company has applied for the Placing Shares to be admitted to trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and admission is expected to occur on 14 March 2012. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu with the Company's exiting ordinary shares.
The total number of ordinary shares in issue following admission will be 471,656,853.
