Chaco Resources PLC01 June 2007 1st June 2007 Chaco Resources plc ("Chaco" or "the Company") Grant of Share Options Chaco Resources plc (soon to be renamed Amerisur Resources plc), the oil and gasexplorer and developer focused in South America, announces that the Company'sremuneration committee granted the following share options effective 31st May2007 in respect of ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company ('OrdinaryShares'): Allotment and Total Number of Options Held Giles Clarke Chairman 26,100,000 Dick van den Broek Deputy Chairman 1,450,000 John Wardle Chief Executive Officer 8,500,000 Nick Harrison Finance Director 8,720,000 In accordance with the Company's share option scheme, the Remuneration Committeehas resolved that the exercise price for these options be the average of the midmarket price at which the Ordinary Shares were traded on AIM during the fivedays prior to grant, following the end of the Company's close period. This datewas the five trading days until 31st May 2007.
