2012 Gorny Drilling and Trenching - 750 Metre Long Zone Defined

Amur Minerals Corporation (AIM: AMC), the nickel-copper sulphide exploration and resource development company focused on the far east of Russia, announces the 2012 drill results at its Gorny target located within its Kun-Manie exploration licence.

Gorny is located two kilometres east of the Maly Kurumkon / Flangovy deposit. Drilling completed in 2012 combined with trenches excavated in 2010 have defined a new 750 metre long mineralised strike length at Gorny.

During 2012, a total of 1,484 metres targeted on the Gorny area were drilled in nine holes and encountered nickel and copper sulphide mineralisation over a strike length of nearly 500 metres. Drill intercepts indicate mineralisation extends down dip for a distance of approximately 300 metres. Located 250 metres further to the east of these holes is a series of four trenches (completed in 2010) where nickel - copper mineralisation has been exposed.

Highlights:

·; A total of 1,484 metres were drilled within 9 holes during the 2012. Previously two widely spaced and shallow drill holes had been completed in the area for an additional 184 metres of drilling. Nine of the eleven holes intersected disseminated nickel and copper sulphide mineralisation.

·; Drilling defined a total of 18 mineralised intervals within the nine holes averaging 6.4 metres thick. The average combined intercept thickness per hole is 12.8 metres with average grades of 0.45% nickel and 0.13% copper.

·; Trenches located 250 metres further to the west of the drilled area exposed nickel and copper mineralisation. A total of 38.1 mineralised metres have been sampled with grades averaging 0.43% nickel and 0.13% copper.

·; Exploration at Gorny has not yet defined the limits of the mineralisation. Drilling is required along strike in both the east and west directions, as well as down dip.

·; Geological mapping, sampling and reconnaissance suggest that Gorny could be an extension of the Maly Kurumkon / Flangovy deposit. The two kilometre long area located between these drilled deposits is interpreted to contain the geological host structures that contain nickel and copper mineralisation. Positive drilling within this area could thereby result in the identification of a single deposit 4.5 kilometres in length.

The primary host of nickel and copper mineralisation is contained within the 15 kilometre long Kurumkon Trend. The Trend is geographically divided into three sections identified as the Western, Central and Eastern Areas.

The Gorny deposit is located at the eastern end of the five kilometre long Western Area ("WA") with the two kilometre long drilled deposit identified as Maly Kurumkon / Flangovy ("MKF") at the western end. The two kilometre long area ("Intervening Area") between Gorny and MKF has been explored by geological reconnaissance, soil sampling, limited reconnaissance drilling for geological structure assessment and geophysical surveys.

The 2012 objectives in drilling Gorny were to confirm the results obtained from two widely spaced scout drill holes and to develop a better understanding of the geological structure within the immediate area. This included the drilling of a 500 metre long strike length and a series of deeper holes to determine if the mineralisation continued at depth. The deeper holes confirm that mineralisation is present at depth. Positive results indicate mineral is present along the dip direction for a distance of up to 300 metres.

Nickel intervals of >0.2% average 6.4 metres in thickness and the intercepts are typical open pit mining thicknesses (defined by SRK in its 2007 prefeasibility study). Holes often contain more than one mineralised interval. The average total mineralised thickness per hole is 12.8 metres. The average encountered drill grade is 0.45% nickel and 0.13% copper. The limits of the mineralisation have not yet been established at Gorny.

The results from the reconnaissance work in the Intervening Area indicate geological structures similar to those that host nickel mineralisation at Gorny and MKF. This Intervening Area represents a drill target requiring future exploration and successful drilling within this area which could lead to the WA containing a single substantial resource approaching five kilometres in length.

A map of the drilled mineralisation is reproduced below in the Notes for Editors along with a summary of the drill holes and previously unannounced trench results in excess of 0.2% and 1.0% nickel for Gorny.

Robin Young, CEO of Amur Minerals, commented:

"The geological control and structural definition drilling carried out at Gorny have identified the presence of nickel and copper mineralisation and confirmed that additional drilling of multiple western area targets is warranted. This success further reinforces that the licence area contains a large nickel - copper mineralised system. The Gorny results should add additional resources to our inventory and are typical of previously defined reserves already established as being recoverable via open pit mining. If the Intervening Area tests positively with future drilling, we could have a five kilometre long deposit in the western area of the Kurumkon trend extending from Maly Kurumkon all the way through to Gorny."
