(AIM:AKR, NASDAQ:AKER), a leading designer and manufacturer of rapid diagnostic screening and testing products, today announces that the Company was notified on 20 February 2014, that on 7 February 2014, ACT Capital Management, LLP ("ACT") purchased 280,100 common shares of no par value in the Company ("Common Shares") and accordingly now holds 280,100 Common Shares representing 5.7% of the issued share capital of the Company.
