Ruukki Group Oyj / Miscellaneous 28.04.2011 08:00 Dissemination of a UK Regulatory Announcement, transmitted byDGAP - a company of EquityStory AG.The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement.--------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07:00 London, 09:00 Helsinki, 28 April 2011 - Ruukki Group Plc, Stock ExchangeRelease RUUKKI GROUP PLC'S NEW SEGMENT REPORTING Ruukki Group Plc ('Ruukki' or the 'Company') (LSE: RKKI, OMX: RUG1V) announcesthat the Company will report its financial performance in two new reportingbusiness segments from the beginning of 2011; the FerroAlloys and theSpeciality Alloys business segments. The new segment reporting reflects theCompany's transformation into a pure mining, smelting and metals processingbusiness. The FerroAlloys business segment consists of the previous South Africanminerals business and the Speciality Alloys business segment includes theprevious Southern European minerals business. The revenue and costs of theCompany's sales and marketing arm RCS, which was previously reported underSouthern European minerals business, will now be allocated to the two newbusiness segments in proportion to their sales. Group's other operationsinclude the Group's headquarter and other Group companies which do not havesignificant business operations. Previously Ruukki reported the Southern European and the South African mineralsbusinesses as part of the Minerals business segment. Ruukki has recentlyannounced the sales of its Wood Processing businesses, including the Housebuilding, Pallet and Sawmill businesses, that are classified as discontinuedoperations. The new segments will be reported in Ruukki's interim report for January-March2011, due to be announced on 11 May 2011.
