Board Appointment

Abbey wish to announce the appointment of Mr Michael McNulty FCA, F Inst D, AITI as a non-executive of the Company and also as a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees. Mr McNulty was formerly a Senior Audit Partner of Ernst & Young in Ireland, together with being the previous head of their Corporate Finance Division. The Board of Abbey plc is delighted that Mr McNulty has accepted this appointment.
