Close Brothers Dev VCT PLC13 July 2007 CLOSE BROTHERS DEVELOPMENT VCT PLC Close Brothers Development VCT PLC announces a pro- forma (unaudited) net assetvalue as at 31 March 2007 based upon the conversion of the C shares to Ordinaryshares which was completed on 31 March 2007 and on the announcement on 4 April2007 by Mears Group Plc that the recommended offer for Careforce Group Plc hasnow become unconditional. This pro-forma net asset value is before accountingfor the dividend of 1.5p per Ordinary share payable to shareholders on 9 May2007 announced on 27 March 2007.
