Appointment of Interim Finance Director

UBC is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenny Donald as interim finance director. At the time of the announcement of the preliminary results the Group noted that it considered it wise to delay appointing a permanent Financial Director until the Board can more accurately determine the ideal candidate fit. Jenny Donald, who was Finance Director of UBC from November 2000 to December 2007, has agreed to fulfil the role of interim Finance Director.

Jennifer Helen Donald, aged 56, has not held any directorships, outside the UBC Group, in the last five years. She holds no interest in Ordinary Shares in UBC.

There is no further information required to be disclosed in respect of the above appointment pursuant to Schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules.
