Directorate Appointment

7digital (AIM:7DIG), the digital music and radio services company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Honey as an executive director of the Company with immediate effect. Matt became Interim Chief Financial Officer in March 2016, a role which he will now undertake on a permanent basis.

Matthew Andrew Honey, aged 50, is a chartered accountant and was Finance Director of The Unique Broadcasting Company ("UBC"), which in 2014 merged with 7digital to form the current Group, from 1992 to 2000. Following UBC's IPO in 2000 Matt assumed the role of Managing Director of Unique Interactive, a new division of UBC focusing on technology and digital radio. Matt led Unique Interactive for 8 years before standing down to set up his own business providing part-time and interim financial services to SMEs.

Since leaving UBC, Matt has been involved with a number of businesses across a broad range of industries from post production TV editing at Splice TV Ltd to international aid development at IMC Worldwide Ltd, where Matt is a non-executive director.
