Completion of merger with Axiom Housing Association

Libra (Longhurst Group) Treasury PLC confirms that the merger of the Longhurst Group with Peterborough-based, Axiom Housing Association (the "Merger"), has been completed in accordance with its terms. The enlarged group will be known as the Longhurst Group.

The Merger is expected to grow the Group's turnover to over £160m within five years and generate a healthy 30 per cent. operating margin. The enlarged group is expected to deliver 700 new homes a year and maintain its focus on providing comprehensive care and support services.

The enlarged group comprises the existing Longhurst Group (Longhurst & Havelok Homes Ltd, Spire Homes (LG) Ltd, Friendship Care and Housing Ltd and Keystone Developments (LG) Ltd) which is responsible for over 22,000 properties across almost 50 local authorities and Axiom Housing Association which owns more than 2,300 homes across Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire and provides housing and services to over 5,500 people and employs more than 300 people.
