PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 4Q 2016
(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)
LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the four quarter of 2016 as follows.
In the fourth quarter of 2016, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 14,781.9 billion (as compared to KRW 13,224.2 billion in 2016.3Q and KRW 14,560.1 billion in 2015.4Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 11.8% (QoQ 11.8%) and a year-on-year increase of 1.5% (YoY 1.5%).
The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW -35.3 billion (as compared to KRW 283.2 billion in 2016.3Q and KRW 349.0 billion in 2015.4Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 106.0% (QoQ -106.0%) and a year-on-year decrease of 110.1% (YoY -110.1 %), respectively.
