The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
'Stats, you're not allowed to ask questions like that here unfortunately.'
The poster's name is Stas.
Jamesss can't even get the basics right! :)
Stas if you really are thinking of investment then you have to do your own research and protect your own money.
Anyway - GCM.......
'Legal - risk that the mining lease and exploration licences are revoked. The Group continues to comply with all terms of the Contract with the Government for "Exploration and Mining of Coal in Northern Bangladesh" and is careful to ensure that all ongoing conditions of the Contract and the associated mining lease and exploration licences are met. GCM has received a recent comprehensive legal opinion that the Contract is enforceable under Bangladesh and International law.'
Stas GCM is in a totally different situation to the last fundraise at 1.65. I would guess that was why it was only done for 500k just to get through 1st Quarter. Whilst mates rates might be at play Tang won't be giving shares away for any where near 1.65p. I was hoping we wouldn't need a fundraise before May24 but if there has to be one I don't see it at under 5p.
Hawk thanks, yes I try to stay balanced and just call it as I see it. Hoping we won't see panic stations if there's a plausible explanation for the drop. Same as you mate we are all looking forward to getting it done, hopefully we won't have long to wait for a decision.
Adam we have known about the fundraise for months and it's not due until the end of May24. But that they said it will be done in the coming weeks set a few alarm bells off for me. Obviously for a fundraise at mates rates the sp has to be lowered. I'm still invested and still a believer but I'll be happy to top up at the lower fundraise rate if I've called it right.
Speaking personally hawk, I wouldn't class myself as a naysayer at all. I totally believe in the financial numbers and that Bangladesh has no option other than dig its own coal. They can't service their existing debt and once all their loan options are terminated what else will it do to run its existing coal power stations that have already carry huge financial burden
The current slide in sp is nothing to do with the current project status. It's about greedy people getting as many shares as they can as cheaply as possible. We could all do a Gamestop and force the price back up and scupper their plans, but that won't happen. Theyll keep selling in dribs and drabs and forcing the price down. They'll force the price down and then issue millions of more shares to themselves at a massively discounted price. We can only sit it out and wait.
9.7p down to 6.5p in 2 full trading days. Fundraise imminent. My guess is when it gets to 5p we will see the fundraise done at a discounted 4p. It all depends how much time they have before Hasina makes the decision.
Sp being forced down for the imminent fundraise.
9.7p traded Wednesday. 2 trading days later sp just on 7p.
Fundraise will be done before any news is announced.
Keeping GCM solvent for 12 months is the priority right now. Who knows how much linger Hasina will kick the can down the road.
Price will be forced down to about 5p then shares will be issued at 4p. If they were forward sold that's a nice profit. If they're going to be held that's a lot of shares in a company soon hopefully to be trading in the £s.
Disappointing all round Searcher. So it sounds like we won't get the boost of knowing that the project submittal has been done. On top of that they've declared that the fundraise will be done in the 'coming weeks', way before it was due at the end of May24. We all know what happens to the sp after a fundraise. And how long for a response from Bangladesh after?
That's no good Searcher, surely they have to let shareholders know the submittal has been done. Did they say how long they would anticipate waiting for a response? You would think it would be quick but this is Bangladesh!
'I don't believe a pre approval raise aligns with shareholders'
Most definitely not but we know Tang cares little about shareholders. There will be a huge SP rise on project submittal. They said at the AGM that the future investors were already there. No way will they be investing at 20-30p after the submittal. GCM has funding until the end of May24 but it is pushing the new fundraise to the 'coming weeks' in April. This can only be to get the new investment in at around a discounted 6p before the project submittal.
You got a ban yesterday? That was rather inconvenient as your 7p short touched 10.5p you must have been desperate to post on here! :)
Are you still here? Didn't see much of you yesterday! Didn't you say you was shorting 1st thing yesterday morning? You are still way in the red, still losing!
Disappointed not to see the project submittal is done RNS this morning. Looks like quarter 1 submittal was a target not a definitive. GCM never fails to disappoint!
So in the coming weeks 12 month funding will be done - most likely £2m to be raised.
The investor is already lined up and will want their investment at 25% discount current SP around 8.5p and not at the anticipated SP of at least 25p AFTER the project submittal?
Looking likely that the fundraise will be done BEFORE the submittal. We will have to wait a little while longer for the project submittal.
There's nothing funny about you Jamessss.
So how is your short at 7p going? Lol :)
Not many chuckles from Professional and Jamesss today! Their shorts have been well and truly pulled down today! Chuckles :)))))
Onwards and upwards for GCM, big things coming.
And don't forget Tang does like a share suspension whilst things are sorted out...........
Is Randy Poster another 1 for the list Mankini? :)
Lol that's some list there Mankini! Funny how they all eventually disappear with their tails between their legs! :)
Good morning Professional and Jamessss, how's your shorts looking this fine sunny morning? :)
