As for the little rise yesterday, someone did refer to "another damp squib". I don't subscribe to that negativity. I would sooner see "baby steps" than a "We're Flying! A ten bagger by midday!" gung-hoism. But I did myself mention our morale yesterday. And it would, just once in a while, be nice to see two consecutive days of blue. It has become a self-fulfilling prophecy that one day of blue for UFO will be followed by at least one day of red. A baby step that found a secure footing would be nice to see, rather than the all-too predictable one step forward, one step back.
We need to raise our morale levels as well as the sp, wents. I think many of us are now so beaten into the ground that we'd never be surprised that Jesus Christ himself appearing with our mining licence would be followed by a 5% sp rise. Followed the next day by a 8% drop.
This could all have been put to bed easily if our sleeping-on-the-job BOD had had the gumption to issue a follow-up RNS within hours, saying quite simply "That was a typo. It should have read weeks, not week". So yes, they are inept.
Yes, 944Turbo, it is refreshing to read a level-headed post on here.
The only issue I would question is your linking of the recruitment of a new CEO possibly taking 3 to 6 months (which is not unreasonable if we want top-class leadership) to being "followed by the mining license".
If the permission has been sought in timely fashion following the KNAC agreement (as the company stated it would be) then I would have thought that this would be granted sooner than in a 3 to 6 month time-scale. Unless UFO do actually request the WA Government to hold fire until we have the new management in place.
Thank you, cj, for this morning's piece of interesting erudition. I had never heard of Chicken Little (or his variants). "The end of the world", you say? So, could it be Chicken Little and his twin brother who turned up on my doorstep with smiles and pamphlets and the 'Good News of Jesus'? I should have asked them for any insider knowledge on UFO while they were here :)
If you are going to complain about "lack of communication", then you can't have it both ways. The "sinking ship" analogy is quite, quite wrong. For one thing it demeans the memory of young Jack Phillips, the telegraphist on the Titanic, who was still heroically sending messages as he drowned.
Indeed, Bfd. That was just ridiculous. Today, the 29th, by an enormous stretch of the imagination, might just have qualified as "early January". But I hardly think the 30th and 31st do. I have said before, why on earth do they leave writing the RNSs to the tea lady? (Apologies to all tea ladies)
I hope I don't come across as self-righteous but, as I say quite often, the reason I don't contribute to this board every hour, on the hour (or even more frequently than that) is that I have other fish to fry. They may seem trivial and mundane fish (to mix a metaphor) - like walking the dog and filling the log store - but they do need my attention and labour. Unlike those of you who are able to spend all day, every day on here. Much of what you say is well-researched and cogent, based upon personal experience and expertise. But when I come back, satisfied with a well-filled log store, to find remarks like "Are you all rimming each other by any chance?", it does make me wonder.
If there is one expression on AIM that really irritates me it's "priced in". if every conceivable piece of positive development gets "priced in", then from the perspective of a Board member who's also heavily invested in the company themselves, then there's absolutely no point in them working flat-out and sweating blood to get the company moving.
It does happen. Remember, cj, one day a week or so ago we went almost half the day with no trade. Maybe members of this board are so obsessed with anything and everything about this company, even to the extent of rabbiting on about it all Sunday and missing Holy Communion, that we tend to forget that the rest of the world and its dog are not banging on the doors to buy and sell its shares.
There ya go, Right Reverend Sir

I said more or less the same thing 5 or 6 hours ago. Since when I've been out with the dog and done all sorts of other stuff, while many of you have obviously carried on building up your stress levels. Please chill and have a decent weekend, if not a good one.
Whatever the background of a new CEO, cj, I have argued since time immemorial for having someone with PR/ Communications expertise on the boards of AIM companies, not just this one. To avoid nonsenses like issuing RNSs saying "We expect to be admitted to FTSE100 in about half-an-hours time".
Me too, I reckon. 2p and I think I'd be popping down the bank with bags full of small change to put into my deposit account and goodbye UFO. 5p and 10p used to be bandied about on here with immense frequency. There was somebody, can't remember who but it wasn't all that long ago, probably 2022/23 and certainly not back in 2020, who was predicting a pound. A POUND! Mmm...
