The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I have been watching since I sold at 49p having lost £5000 in the sudden drop from 70,s. I realised ages ago that the interest payable on the debt was far more than any profits could sustain. My advice to anyone is get out as soon as you can. Believe me I truly feel for those who have lost money that would have been better spent at home.
What happened? Anyone that can give us any info. I could not get link to work.
Blue waters are great t see. I’m still submerged about 73000 feet /£ under with my 1.2m shares.
6p would see me back on the beach in the sun. £1 sometime in the future would put me in the best hotel available sipping my Champers.
Happy Christmas to all including the green coffin people.
It isn’t a loss till you sell.
Really
Sold at 49.19 with av of 90,s
Now less than 30 as I thought. I was worried about debt. Thought court case as going to go our way. Alas not. Anything can happen and probably will.
So often with the shares I have invested in the naysayers are right. This being the latest example.
What does that prove quoting back to me. I’m still sitting on a loss now. When it last hit 84 I sold at 82p, but did not wait to buy back in. Ended with an average of 79p after adding more cash. All I know is I need to have a lower average to be able to double to retrieve my cash.
I cannot make it go down, but in my position it will need to.
Maybe I should have stuck with MCRO at least I understand their price movements. GLA
Debts have always worried me.
Court case No one knows what the result will be. I would like to get back in before result as I believe it will be positive.
If you remember it was never going back to 80, 70, 60 or 50 you were all sure of that.
The stock market is a casino and just like a roulette table if it can happen it probably will.
June 2021 Debt $4633 m. Interest payments $110m plus other costs. How are we ever gong to dig ourselves out of the hole. I had an average of 97p, it sold on Friday 11am at 49:19.
Yes I am waiting for the 30,s before getting back in. It the only way I can think of to lower my average. It’s amazing how many shares I’ve seen where I have ignored the doom mongers and have seen their predictions come true. I would love to get my 5000 usd losses back soon please.
I've been here since January making cash some days and losing the next week. I'm trading with Cine in my isa,but mostly holding for the 98p breakeven. This was I thought a good buy in at the time. Alas not.
Recently I have about 10k USD in Etoro which I make loads of $ from 60p to 72p. I was totally in cash the day it flew up to 78p. Missed at least 6p there. Got back in at 78 and make a load on the rises to 84p. Got back to cash feeling very pleased having made 16.5% in the month. This week I saw it going back down so with Etoro I bought in small 400usd chunks to the 80.5 average with all cash in. Now it falls much lower,so now no more action till it rises again. What this tells me is I would have made more if I had just held from low 60,s.
As for the future I think £1 by Xmas should not be a problem especially if we win the case.
Good luck to all except the shorters.
Year. Admissions. Per year.(9311 screens). Per day(365)
2018. 272.6m. 29277 per screen. 80.21 ( unknown shows per day)
2019. 289.4m. 31081 per screen. 85.15. (Ditto)
2020. 56.44m. 6061 per screen. 16.00. (Ditto)
I'm not sure how many days we were actually open during 2020, but the figure of 16 should be higher than above.
So when you go to the cinema and count people it might be good to take these figs into account.
I hope this helps. This is how my mind operates rather than thinking of custard creams and bourbons. I may as well as admit I have never been to a Cineworld as the nearest to me is Nottingham or Hull. There is a very pleasant Art Deco style(updated inside) cinema about a mile away which does a super job for everyone in town.
Hope this helps those who are having trouble getting their heads around attendance.

I have used the actual accounts figures (2018)and percentages from those figs carried across to make the above.
The only issue I see is that we will end up with a part of 2020 as reported in April/May(as above).
Then this year another 6 month year figures. It won't be till April May 2023 that we hopefully get a full year. As things are in the world of cinema, studios, streamers anything can happen by then.
I'm using the above figures to guesstimate where we might be as far as turnover is on a full month basis. The level of interest payments mean we definitely need a full uninterrupted year to pay the debts down.
Anyway I thought some here might be interested. Yes I am a holder with now all in 14,000 shares.GLA
I love the smell of rabbits. The film does offer an alternative to peanuts as there seems to have been a shortage at cineworld. Rabbit droppings on the seats of previous viewings are now available in the foyer. Salted or unsalted.
1% a week would be fine with me. Unfortunately I have to start at 1.02.
Film...Slow and not so furious.
Come on b/e of 1.02 ++++please please.
I was dreading reading Ashstash's comments, so now he's been sent to the sin bin.
I know the company has huge debts etc. Does anyone know how much cash we can get through the tills on a weekly basis for the various % of capacity we might expect.
Love cineworld and also love making a profit on investments.
I'm one step from Tom C if you need a comment on cinema. Although you can imagine his reply. He loves film making and therefore cinema in general I would say.
My nephew has been working next to him for years now. I have a shed load of old Cine shares at 1.02 average and would be happy anywhere over 1.25 by July. This message might self destruct in 5 seconds.

Not sure it makes a lot of difference, but read this story of cinema in Wales.
Next they will tell us we can't take a (miner )to a Disney film.
I'm fully loaded and waiting. GLA
Robin. Louth in Lincs is much better than Grimsby.
For those who cannot just buy in £1000 plus lots. I have found Etoro to be a great alternative.
I too have some Cine at 123p $50 worth the difference being I buy as it falls. Every few pence down I buy more, so with 84 purchases of about $100 each my average is 104. Not bad as started with the 123 buy. Yes the costs are in the spread, but he'll im making money on a percentage basis.
I'm just using the ET platform as a way of not having to buy such one price chunks. I already have 1 million real shares in a small pharma that's ready for take off.
I really like Cine and will buy for a long time to come it is a certainty to come back to its best. Don't tell anyone, but you can short as well. I don't like that as you never actually own any shares.
Happy times to all here even the old miseries. DYOR
My nephew is just finishing filming with Mission Impossible with Tom. Should be out this year maybe in late summer. I think could be considered a mini block buster. GLA
Love this share.
Correct. See above under financial diary.
