I have just been catching up on things and wanted to pass on my best wishes to Ian & Portsmouth. I wish you both a speedy recovery, take and care and get well soon. You are both decent people and I thank you for all your contributions on the board, you make this a better place.
While it is true that AIM companies get away with murder due to the useless FCA. If there was bad news that could be proven was known by the directors when they sold then they would be in very serious trouble. Therefore I don't believe for one minute that this is the case. Whilst personally I think they should have waited until the company was actually making some good profits before they sold I believe it is their choice and that they should be free to do as they wish.
I would say he's all three dmitry. Well said Ian, if he had any dignity left he would go and crawl back under the rock he slithered out from. Unfortunately he has no dignity left so he will no doubt continue making a fool of himself and not even realise he's doing it.
Why does there always have to be a sting in the tail with this share. whether it's the placing that was somehow public knowledge before the rns was released. Directors selling twice, speeding ticket. It's like they don't want the share price to reach its full potential.
I've brought 22 shares. I would have brought 222 as the cost of share dealing was more than the price value of the shares by double but I don't have the spare cash. May he rest in peace and thank you for all your contributions to the company being where it is now over the past 22 year. I'm sorry you will not be able to see this through to it's conclusion.
Ceejay, it's good that you emailed the FCA as at least you are trying to do something positive. However the FCA are in my experience utterly useless and that's putting it mildly. You will be lucky if you ever get a response to your complaint once they have "investigated".
I have quite a few losses from selling shares that I could use to offset towards potential gains that were within the 4 year period. I am however concerned that the chancellor could potentially raise CGT to bring it into line with income tax and make it effective immediately. No one knows for certain if he will do that they are just speculating at the moment but if he did this it would potentially have a big impact on any profits dependent on what the outcome of the sale is. That is the only thing that is worrying me at the moment, I'm happy to pay the 20 percent if I'm so lucky as to get a return that falls into the higher rate of tax.
What an absolute joke this is. This type of share price behaviour puts people off trying to be long term investors.
It just ridiculous we never seem to be able to hold the gains even when we have an excellent rns. Too many short term share holders and not enough long term investors. Very frustrating.
Thank you tilly that sounds absolutely fantastic. I may have lost the guess the rns but the prize of septic lil more than makes up for it!. I will be drinking a barrel of rum later!. All the best mate.
Excellent Montmuzard. You won't find that level of detail from tiger by the tail. He pops up every few months telling everyone what an expert he is and how over valued we are then disappears for months once he's asked detailed questions to back up his claims.
