RNS looks good, schlumberger have validated the model, they differ on reserves but RNS clearly states not a like-for-like comparison with management estimates. Recoverable looks good and as Bob says, they still think their numbers are conservative, sounds like Alkaid is flowing more than they expected. Still massively undervalued based on 1.7Bn recoverable.
Two scenarios here in my mind, a co-ordinated bear raid again, or taking a punt, and it's nothing more than a punt, that the delays are somehow bad news. Either way it's huge gamble on their part, with empirical evidence that we're sitting on oil, and plenty of it, and the only play being how well it comes out of the ground
Looks like my post about the filter button has been censored too now.
Dear forum viewers, if any poster is annoying you, there is a handy filter button just above the message entry box
To me the Saba thing feels politically motivated, they stuck their oar in about the same time as the bondholder shenanigans, wonder if they were linked to the bondholders
My take is that they're probably making the most of a rare opportunity where there's nothing market sensitive going on. If the well is a success there's a fair bet the M+A activity will be underway again and then they could be locked out for some time
0730 - Schlem, also the possibility that he's done it claiming it to be the start/end of a quarter
