Worth remembering that the reference price for the April lifting at Afentra will be that of the physical Brent and not that of futures.

Last week dated Brent was trading $130-145/bbl.

My understanding is that Sonangol have exercised their pre-emption rights as they see some real value in these assets.

Effective date remains the same at Dec'23. Impact on us is that the Etu deal will now take us up to 33.33% on 3/05 rather than the 35% suggested in previous update. And 3/05A will now increase to 24.99% rather than 28%.

Definitely feels like Sonangol sees some value there.

Really encouraging to see the SP bounce back today, almost hitting our previous ATH of 47.90

I make your anlaysis correct BJoe, that shorts were closing their positions yesterday which kept the SP down. I would not be suprised to see some coverage of AET's news and success in the weekend press, fuelling another rally on Monday / Tuesday.

I am hopeful that tomorrow we will have a positive update on Angola as part of the presentation / Q&A's, maybe even an early morning RNS....
