If tekeda makes an offer and no matter how ridiculous it may be (�38), it will be a price that a company is willing to pay for shire. This sets the fair vlaue which in proper market should hold even if the offer is rejected. point being even if the takeover does not happen, shire sp should in theory hold value of around the offer price and hopefully build on it. We have to ofc be mindful of the market being corrupt so price will be manipulated.

Mergers can add to the value of shares so its not a bad thing. In any case smaller companies have been known to buy out larger peers. It may still be a takeover.

Didnt one of the latest rns notice under 8.3 say takeda had acquired 1% interest in shire? Also takeda is similar size to shire so it is likely to be a merger rather than a takeover. Get your house ready to be taken away Tom :-)

Looking at the latest updates from shire on buys and sells, these big boys made tonnes of money yesterday.

Funny how these brokers are giving low 40s price target now that there is a bid possibility. Before bid rumours these fkers were issuing targets of �50 plus. Goes to show they wanted PIs to buy then and get stuck with crashing share price and now they want PIs to sell on the cheap (so to regret when price goes up with potential bid offers).

yes, it will be interesting to watch tomorrow. but broker rating mean nothing for shire. they have had average rating of �50 plus over the last few months / weeks and yet it was trading at low 30s.

I completely agree with you. As u may have noticed fom my old posts, i m already balls deep in it and therefore biased. But the fact remains that shire was subjected to bid a while back - Abvi - and now a new player is considering it. There must be something very attractive about shire that keeps bringing up bidders. Some posters here have been alleging false accountig criminal directors and so on and so forth. I may not be as experienced investors as some here but i have seen a few bid scenarios. This approach may not lead to anything but until then sp will rise and make some peeps decent money. Imho .All the best :-)

IMO this will prompt other interested big guns to come out or at least start preparing for bidding war....time to go in balls deep! All IMHO :-))

Time is now to get in sub 40. This is likely to go above and beyond very quick. . other major companies waiting for price to crash more will now come out and we may have some sorta bidding war:-))
