Yes interesting thanks. My hopes are for Total to continue in Guyana and invest in Namibia (Eco block or blocks) and thought circa 300p was a good price for Eco Guyana (sometime this year) only an opinion.

I guess its a reasonable opinion to say Eco would be a acquisition target post successful drill; however was thinking if Tullow had success in their blocks in Guyana then maybe they could too?? Tullow IMO seem to be "coasting".

And to add (all speculation I know); would be nice to get cash for Guyana with Eco remain trading with Namibia plus.

Yes think the CEO has some fat in the timing due to challenging operating conditions in the country. Should all come good. IMO. (Timing that is)

article in the Times (business) today Re Occidental bid for Anadarko. Occidental is reported to have offered $38 in cash and 0.6 Occidental share for each Anadarko share. Interesting M&A example.

Following ExxonMobil’s commercial discovery at the giant Liza field in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana in 2015, it was confirmed that the oil found is of ‘high quality’. The term “High Quality” is commonly used to refer to crude oil which is sweet (low sulphur content) and light (high API gravity). This means oil which has been determined to rank higher on the American Petroleum Institute (API) Gravity Scale and determined to be of a low sulphur content.

Some Oil Analysts are saying possible $80/ barrel with all the Iran stuff happening. Iran crude is sour (high in sulphur) the Guyana basin seems to have very nice sweet crude! GLA

Didn't realise they were drilling simultaneously; That quite significant! Being on or near the licence boundary I can only think communication lines are active with Exxon-M and Eco/parteners. IMHO

of buying into AOI tomorrow? All good news with Guyana just before Easter and some excellent posts.
