Thank you for the reply
Now we are getting somewhere
So if the bet is kept open it’s about 66p a day
The next bit I think might be more complicated
If your bet goes pear shaped ie is in a loss making position
Can you add cash to cover the loss and keep the bet open
So if you put £100k on the spread bet account it would not be closed
Unless the shares went to zero
Barnyards
I don’t do spread betting
Mine is all hard cash
Maths wrong there sorry
£2000 profit
If they fall 1p I lose £2000
Reducing my initial deposit to £3000

So I lodge £5000 with the cfd broker
I bet to buy 200000 shares @ 46p approx £9200 and a 10% leverage so in effect risking £920
So if it rises to 47p and I close the bet I make £920
Less and broker charge
Second scenario
I buy at 46p and they rise
But I think they will rise more I keep them
Overnight what is the charge then
Nice easy question for those that do cfd betting
When you have an open position which you do not close
For example
Let’s say you decide to enter into a contract to buy Lloyds @ 46p
The share price falls to say 45p at what point does the cfd broker close your bet and you lose your bet
Now let’s say you are just holding your ow @ 46p and the market closes
You are not up or down
So to roll that bet over for 24 hours
What does it cost
Let’s say for 200,000 shares
Sensible answers from people who know
No have a go hero’s please
Couldn’t believe so many didn’t know about ISA’s

It’s raining here in not so sunny Spain
Not an expert
But I believe businesses were contacted by their bankers and the interest free no repayable for 2year loans were based on you previous years turnover from your audited accounts

The parasol has just caught the wind and
Moved somewhat sharpish towards the sun bed
All safe now

Be very careful with steroids
The ones you have received possibly by injection can have a serious effect on bone structure
First dose the results are amazing
The second dose no where near as good
Take care
On a Lloyds note 46p
How nice is that
You can buy and sell as many times as you like once the money is in the ISA
I honestly thought that evading it that way

Have to agree with the dividend re investment programme
My wife holds 150000 shares
And inspite of my protestations she lets Lloyds reinvest the divi in shares
A complete rip off in my humble opinion
It all turned out ok in the end
Sold 60000@44.4
Received £26628
Purchased
60000@43.78
Cost inc dealing fees
£26411
That’s £217 profit
It will buy a few ice creams on holiday soon
