I have about 86m shares in UKOG. My buying price was over .29. I have seen the shares dip to about .1 and now my buying price is .235 after some more buying. I have sufficient confidence and time horizon (about 18-24 months) to make some profit. Do I need the WISDOM of derampers? NO, I do NOT. I accept it is their ONLY hobby. As the great Urdu poet Ghalib requested GOD "Please give them a new heart if you would not give me another tongue to explain things to them". I hope that the new heart that God gives them will be full of the human kindness.
Occasionally, it is useful to know why a share price is going down. In this case it is the selling by Arena and/or by Atlas. Small shareholders are the unseen spectators of their money being drained. Regrettably, their is nothing we can do except to hope that tis selling is exhausted soon. The share price will then begin its small but steady rise.
Firwood: Thank you . I have been looking for Arena's holding. It was 17.4182%. If it is now 10%, the fall in share price is explained - it is due to Arena selling. But I could not find an RNS about this decrease. Where did you find it?
Dear Funky; Thank you for you good wishes. I had been watching Vast for a long time on its way down & down. Recently I decided it is worth buying on a 2 years bet. I invest only what I can afford to loose. I am rather old but it would be silly to claim that I judge a share better than any one else. My main interest is scientific research - Human genome and human brain. Should you have any interest in either, please have a look at my recent paper "Comparison of scientific developments in the First 2 decades of the 20th and 21st Centuries" in www. Academia.edu. It has been well received. I invest on the basis of "double or bust". One company almost went bust but then Helium1 took it over and I did well, very well, indeed. So there is sometime hope in a dying company. Incidentally, most of my shares are in our ISAs.
Ricky, I value your contributions (I have14,829,804 shares in VAST and am a bit underwater). It would be interesting to see how many shares your critics have. If they do not disclose the number of shares they have, it will be reasonable to assume they do not have any. In that case, poor fellows are incapable of thinking of a better hobby. Or perhaps, hey do not have sufficient intelligence to sell and cut their future losses.
Deale55; it appears they are not capable of answering your question. Please keep asking to shame them. Thank you.
GWilliams: "no one actually believes ..." is rather extreme statement. I, with my 85,955,860 shares believe that within about 18 months or earlier UKOG share price will be near .3. But if wishes were horses ----.Currently, I am under deep water but I look at its possibilities.
Like Govt. of any country, the UK Govt. is interested in oil & gas without paying in $s. For example, India is buying cheap Russian oil under a a pact with Russia whereby it pays in Indian Rupees. Of course, India would prefer to have oil & gas wells in India but there are "none". UK Govt. wants to encourage companies to discover & produce more oil & gas to save paying in dollars. so PPs for oil & gas discoveries have become easier. This does not mean that the UK Govt. Supports UKOG. It supports all projects of discovery & production of oil & gas..
Dear Justbe; I hope, that "mortgaging the house" to invest in UKOG is just a play on the words and is not serious. As a well invested shareholder here and elsewhere (I invest as much as I can afford to loose), I assure you that in the share market place there is no sure bet. Even after the planning decision in its favour the UKOG share price hovers around .15. I hope all these people forecasting that "UKOG is interestingly poised" are right but fear that they are likely to be disappointed as I have been.
I have about 86m shares in the UKOG and am still substantially underwater. There seems to be some bickering in these columns among people who have little or no interest to see the share price rise. Some comments give no credit to their authors. I request these people to try to be nice to each other. It costs NO money.
Fantasy, YES, you have every right to be skeptical of what the BOD of VAST says. I am a new shareholder with, for me, a very large stake in VAST. Currently, I am a little down but I hope to do well. I am not really in a position even to ask you to be a little positive about it future share price but I hope you will recover a little of your lost money.
Best Wishes.
