Hi, I am new to this board and didnt find it worthwhile commenting when Mr Humble dominated the board. I have been an investor in this stock and many other AIM stocks for years and am familiar with the ups and downs of both the SP and product development timescales. My view is that is always takes longer than investors hope (think Croda and SBTX - 6 years, and that was from a product already proven). At least OPTI were able to strike a deal which has provided £100k of revenue every year for the last 5 years and have the worlds biggest ingredient Company (DSM Firmenich) involved in manufacture. Similar to Adyan9200 I have not seen any comment from the Company on DSM Firmenich looking to get within 10% of sugar price. SweetBiotix is a unique product not a commoditised ingredient so you would hope for a premium price. However, I suspect that similar to other comments that large scale manufacture with a corporate partner looking for global sales then yields are critical as it allows access to the high volume Asian markets. I suspect they have been working with OPTI to improve yields. It may also explain the radio silence (although I suspect some of it is down to TW threatening to contact Coca Cola and Pepsi) as the Company will want to verify the data and submit patents before sharing any detail. To me investment is all about belief in the Company and its products. I use OPTI products and believe in them. They work and have excellent reviews. This suggest they are developing products in a structured way, not just marketing crap. If SweetBiotix is following a similar path, notwithstanding the delays, this company will be worth over £100m. Thats why I stick with my small cap investments for years, and it sometimes works.
