islandgirl - you're spot on. It seems like a lot of 'contributors" on here have no idea how big the world is and how many people are in it. The combined manufacturing capacity of all of the pharmas could not meet this demand, which means NCYT will sell EVERY test that it makes. If NCYT gets a piece of the antibody cake as well, then even better!
marbellamike - two PHD guys have come up with this test that has not even been evaluated let alone accredited. The important line in the article is; 'we have been working on this since we found out about the Corona Virus'. The virus came to light in December 2019. What have they been doing for the last 12 weeks! All IMO
woodaldo - I got the impression that the evaluation of the antibody test is taking place now, but any antigen test being considered for use would need to be evaluated in order to confirm its accuracy and reliability. This is interesting because NCYT'S test has already undergone a successful, Independent Clinical Performance Evaluation (ICPE) by PHE. This tells me that NCYT is not going to meet this demand on its own! Therefore, I would expect PHE to take every NCYT test it can get its hands on because it has been successfully and formally evaluated. The other tests will need to be formally evaluated before these are used, for the reasons given by Chris Whitty. NCYT will sell every test that it produces; many, many millions in the coming weeks and months. If NCYT and their manufacturers can produce 5 million tests each week, then that is what they will sell. The sky is the limit! All IMO
RE: Assay Genie Develops 15 Minute Test25 Mar 2020 17:41
marbellamike - It's a big old world with 7 billion people in it! Accurate and reliable tests are a must according to Chris Whitty. Our test is at the top of the assay table for a reason; an 'unmatched [diagnostic] tool' which has '100% homology' with Covid-19.
Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance during PM'S news conference have just said there is a global shortage of tests. They have also acknowledged that inaccurate and unreliable tests must be avoided at all costs. 'The one thing worst than no test is a wrong test'. This sounds very promising for NCYT in light of the successful Independent Clinical Performance Evaluation of its test by PHE. Mass antibody testing on its way also.
We know from previous RNS' that NCYT was in regular contact with the US FDA while its application for EUA was being considered. In NCYT'S updated assay document released on Monday (23rd March) the independent clinical performance evaluation (ICPE) by Public Health England, features prominently in this document along with US FDA EUA. By now, PHE must have a very good idea about how NCYT/PrimerD operates as a diagnostic company. As we know, the formal evaluation by PHE was successful, leading to increased business with 8 NHS Hospitals. Now that NCYT has a foot in the door with PHE let's hope that their relationship continues in a successful way.
Tiredandveryconfused - so, you arrive here and your first "contribution" is to tell us about a test that is 70% accurate when we are invested in a company whose test sits at the top of the assay table because it has '100% homology' with Covid-19, and is described as an 'unmatched [diagnostic] tool'. Jog on, and quickly!
BTW, the transformational news you are waiting for with Verona Pharma (VRP) has already arrived here!
RE: Tired@Confused One Post Poster Alert25 Mar 2020 11:33
Tiredandveryconfused - Why would I want to investigate the said company when I'm invested here. Do you have anything to contribute to this bb in terms of new information / research on THIS company. BTW it is mathematically impossible for me to lose money on this share! Take your advice elsewhere.
Assay Document Updated 23rd March25 Mar 2020 11:23
I urge people to access this document on PrimerD'S twitter releases because the information contained therein is the driver of sales and contracts, and it will lead to further FDAS. This updated document contains information on the independent clinical performance evaluation of our tests which demonstrates that NCYT'S science is bang on.
Nice to see the company is looking after its Golden Goose! It's all about THE ASSAY peeps!
andy216 - no mate, it's an exhibition of the very worst of human nature. Personally, I hope they hang around here to watch the inevitable unfold. 'Jealousy is the green-eyed monster that mocks the meat it feeds on'!
