lodan1 - you could transfer for nominal consideration, if there is shareholder support. Leave, say, enough to repay some debts?
I'm not here to stir the pot. I'm just mindful of the alternatives to multi bagging SP on readmission. That's all. I hold shares running into six figures and the last thing I need is for this scenario to play out. But we can't just ignore it and talk about how well this is going to pan out for minority shareholders such as ourselves. The cancellation of these events is encouraging on the face of it, until you look a bit deeper.
Jotom750 - it benefits majority shareholders because it is the majority shareholders who are "coincidentally" the shareholders in NewCo.
Minority shareholders will not be invited to the NewCo party.
I appreciate the reasons give by the BOD in the RNSs for the cancellation of these events. However, the reality may be quite different.
The dividend cancellation resulted in cash remaining with the company. It was a hit for minority shareholders who qualified and will benefit majority shareholders in the long term.
The demerger cancellation resulted in RASP remaining within the company. This was a hit for minority shareholders who qualified and will be a benefit for majority shareholders in the long term.
If the suspension goes on for a long time, we may well see an RNS confirming that the company has decided to transfer assets to NewCo, which is also owned by the majority shareholder. With the transfer would go the dividend and RASP. That would then leave minority shareholders with Jack diddly. I think the likelyhood of this increases with each week we are suspended.
Rich people look after themselves and do not care about minority holders. Powerful Russians simply cannot be trusted right now IMHO. This is a dangerous combination for minority shareholders and should be kept in mind.
Sorry to be putting a downer on things. I see these posts about multi bagging but those posts assume that the BOD and/or Russian oligarchs will play fair. You only need to look at what's happened with the dividend and the demerger to see that the company will justify protecting it's assets no matter what. It's doing that for the benefit of the majority shareholders IMHO, not the minority shareholders.
I hope I'm wrong, as always. However, bracing myself for that RNS.
Just out of interest, please hit recommend below if you went "all in" here prior to suspension.
It's a tough wait for those that did but it would be interesting to see how many are in that boat, without needing to own up as such.
Thanks
To get back to anywhere near the share price highs seen last year, we would also need to be readmitted to the FTSE indecies.
Without demand for shares from tracker funds and other funds that only buy index constituents the SP will not fully recover.
POLY faces the same issue.
I don't think VP has regard for any human, other than himself and his offspring.
RA would have been a tool for delivering a toxin. Collateral damage at best but more likely a stark message. He doesn't want to negotiate and doesn't care about anyone other than his own.
Sanctioning the oligarchs was never going to do the job.
More detail on the extraordinary story emerging on the suspected poisoning of Roman Abramovich and Ukrainian peace negotiators.
According to sources cited in the WSJ report - which has since been backed up by a series of tweets posted by investigative journalism group Bellingcat - the Chelsea owner and negotiators developed symptoms including red eyes, constant and painful tearing, and peeling skin on their faces and hands.
It says it was unclear who had targeted the group, but that those affected blamed "Moscow hardliners" who wanted to sabotage the talks.
The report, and the information gathered by Bellingcat, indicates the conditions of the victims of the suspected poisoning later improved and that their lives are not considered to be in danger.
People familiar with the incident reportedly said Western experts who looked into it suggested it was hard to determine whether the symptoms were caused by a chemical or biological agent or by some sort of electromagnetic-radiation attack.
Roman Abramovich 'suffering symptoms of suspected poisoning'
A potentially huge story from Wall Street Journal suggests prominent oligarch and Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich along with Ukrainian peace negotiators, may be suffering the symptoms of suspected poisoning.
According to the newspaper, the symptoms developed following a meeting in Kyiv earlier this month.
The report - which, it should be noted, has not been verified by Sky News - says Mr Abramovich has travelled frequently between Moscow and the Ukrainian capital as peace talks have continued.
The 55-year-old, who has been hit with a number of sanctions over his links to Vladimir Putin, was reported to have been involved in helping the negotiations.

"Russian brigade commander killed by own troops, Western officials claim
A Russian brigade commander in Ukraine has been killed by his own troops, Western officials have claimed.
Colonel Medvechek, who was commanding the 37th Motor Rifle Brigade, is believed to have been deliberately run over.
PA has reported an official, who has not been named, as saying: "The brigade commander was killed by his own troops and killed by his own troops, we believe, as a consequence of the scale of losses that have been taken by his brigade."
"We believe that he was killed by his own troops deliberately. We believe that he was run over by his own troops."
The official added that a lieutenant general commanding the 49th Combined Arms Army has also died in the fighting, making him the seventh Russian general to be killed in combat since the invasion began."
Things are going very wrong for Russia in Ukraine now. I'd say it's only a matter of time before a climb down by VP or he faces being overthrown IMO.
Kong1 - you are talking out of your arse about me. Don't try to shift the subject.
Anyway, what are you even doing on here if you're not invested? Isn't there an A&E department near where you live? Maybe you could spend the day there lecturing patients on how they could have avoided getting injured. Oh, hang on! That could result in somebody kicking the ever loving **** out of you, so don't do that.
