That flurry of trades in the past hour was me shifting a chunk of my shares across and maxing my ISA allowance.
I'm here for the long haul with UFO. We know what's in the ground. Turner Pope, Artemis and WH Ireland also know what's there. It's a question of when, not if... and how many heart palpitations we'll be experiencing along the way.
It's a scary world out there right now, but we'll be alright here. Good luck and godspeed everyone.
@dvharrison the infamous enormous spike in 2020 (followed by a few smaller ones in 2021) has many people perpetually jittery and will take profits when they can for fear of another one undercutting them. AIM is a pump and dump's game. However one thing hasn't changed, and that's the fundamentals of UFO which have just gotten better and better. This should be a share to hold and forget, but I must admit the the projects at play here are too exciting, with some incredible prospects, that it's difficult to ignore!
Hurrah!
I also feel that with the increased green factor in the Alien presentation (green iron ore, palladium catalytic converters, silver solar panels...) that dropping Greenland is a good move not just short-term for obvious reasons but long-term for our green credentials. Mining in Greenland is not a good look.
So Bill has confirmed that, although it's in a zinc-rich body, they're waiting for someone to take it off Alien's hands - "it's not for Alien"
Great news. Let's focus on the most valuable assets we have.
LOL my thoughts exactly, made me chuckle.
What a bonza presentation though I must say. Go Bill!
I agree. No more spikes please. Not good for UFO's longterm health nor our short term health!
A nice, concise pulling together of all the facts - thanks Max. And an excellent video showing how the ore can be hoovered up.
You really don't get enough credit on here for these posts. For people like me that occasionally pop in (and top up!) these are so so useful.
If they can't be bothered to read the RNS' and do even the most cursory research then let them sell. I'm tired of these caffeine-addled rainbow-chasers with the attention span of a gnat hopping from one share to the next. Just gives me another opportunity to top up.
Yes ShareTime that's my thoughts on this one too. I've been averaging up for over a year now and tbh I don't know when to stop topping up, the prospects are so rosy and it's still undervalued. Add to that how it was criminally battered these past few months for no good reason imo.
I pop out for a few days and come back to see my UFO in good spirits! Very happy with the RNS, which confirms what most of us had a big hunch about already and for quite some time, and even more happy with the new appointment which firms up Bill's team and will get our valuable assets noticed. I averaged up since the 0.3 days and will keep adding. GLA.
It's called running a business. Lol.
By all means sell up, so I can build. Good luck all.
Brilliant. Plenty of cash in the bank. Holding tight, as always.
I would also add, that I think UFO has been hit hard by sentiment - a combination of a shedload of bitcoin types jumping in to make a quick buck (I blame the catchy ticker), the spike, and the placing, all in quick succession. That kind of ****tail left a lot of people burned. The fundamentals haven't changed, mind - which is why I'm still here and occasionally pop my head in. It's the only share I've ever commented on.
What Forrest said.
I was in KAV at 1p, made a nice bit of profit but then bailed out. Was I wrong to do so? We'll see. But I'd take Australia and Mexico over Botswana. Plus that's a hell of a lot of sand to shift. But then if they find Norilsk 2.0 under it all then none of that will matter. Might have to get back in there!
For now though, I'm firmly in camp UFO.
Couldn't help myself. It's bananas that these shares are so cheap. Not complaining though. Crocodile patience and all that.
A total overreaction imo. Have topped up so not complaining.
@napth, all the other shares (mostly mining and explorers) I have been invested in and sold out of have at least doubled since (bar one which has sort of pootled about a bit) - however it doesn't bother me one iota. UFO is now by far the largest chunk in my portfolio and I'm not selling a single share. The prospects here are delicious.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we have a geologist (ex-Rio Tinto) as CEO :)
