Ian1970 If the government thought that we would anytime soon be going into another lockdown they wouldn't be putting us into step 4 of its roadmap out of lockdown and legal restrictions replaced by guidance only. Sadiq Khan is only playing political chess by making it mandatory to still wear face coverings on TFL buses and tubes. I am a driver for stagecoach and today we all got sent an update for procedures when Boris's new rules come in on Monday. It is very long winded so I will keep to just what I think may be of interest. Face coverings will still be mandatory on our buses and in the workplace, social distancing will no longer apply, ALL seats can now be used and also standing for passengers, in other words back to full capacity on buses. Our work from home will cease on the 26th of July when all staff will return to their offices. It doesn't make sense that our SP has crashed for the past two weeks as I see no negatives about the company or its future. DYOR etc I definitely smell a Rat here with the MMs.

The reason this share dropped so dramatic at the beginning of the pandemic had nothing to do with debt as most companies have debt but the fact that 1 we was in lockdown and 2 the maximum passengers allowed on a double deck Bus was 30 and I think 16 on a single deck I don't drive those so not so sure. So if the revenue is cut the profits and share price will drop. Cineworld was closed most of the year so profits drop along with the SP. Nearly all share prices have gone down over the past week or two i am not sure why but i do think public transport will grow more in the future as people are encouraged to ditch their cars.

spindock. I am a SGC driver in a SE London suburb. My passenger numbers are back to pre-covered very busy. As far as I know our driver assault screens will still have the speaking holes covered, I guess in the country they don't have those. 90% of our drivers don't wear face mask in the garage as they are supposed to and i have now joined them after having both jabs and it not being compulsory come Monday so we don't seem to be so concerned here about the virus. It will be interesting with the passenger numbers come Monday but I think nothing will change. People who wore masks before they were compulsory will continue to wear them and everyone else wont. The SP has plummeted over the past 2 weeks for no apparent reason and like yourself I have no intention of selling anytime soon, in fact my garage along with many others near me have started the ground work for the new electric buses we have some coming very soon to our garage and I can see in the near future the government discouraging the use of cars by more so called green taxes on them and encouraging the use of public transport.

TFL has announced that from Monday the 17th of May that Bus loadings will increase from 30 maximum passengers to 60 i would think that the regional Buses will soon follow suit. Definitely a step in the right direction to getting Buses back to normal

This used to be a good BB until CHRI55 turned up. I have never seen so much Bull ****e posted by just one person. When he sells he de-ramps and when he buys back in ramps up thinking that we will all take notice and do like he says. I had the privilege of being called an idiot by this person who last brought in at £1.00 a share so is down over 13p a share. My average is 59p a share so i am well in profit. " Not Bad For An Idiot" I don't come on here to gloat, ramp or de-ramp but to give an honest opinion from a Bus driver of 19 years working for Stagecoach. The SP has dropped to a more realistic price after shooting up from 32p to over a £1 after the vaccine news but I honestly think that once the loadings go back to normal, hopefully mid June that we will be back to over the £ mark once again and next year the return of the dividend will push the SP even higher. As I have stated before, these shares are for my retirement in 4 years time so I don't really think this is a ramp from me just my opinion as I get tired of reading crap from certain posters on here. I am in no rush to sell them. Unless CHRI55 advices me to of course.

Panic setting in over new variants ?
Here in South East London there is no panic at all, in fact quite the opposite. There were queues going round the building at Primark's, the pubs and shops all very busy, obviously only the outside sitting at pubs. Bexleyheath, Crayford and Dartford was ramo with people walking about shopping. The government needs to up the loadings on Buses from 30 passengers as I keep having to drive past passengers who want to get to work, its not fair on them.
