"Have you heard about our new Surface Mount Technology (SMT) product family?β‘
We are currently developing our SMT supercapacitors, which can be directly mounted and soldered onto the surface of printed circuit boards instead of being inserted into holes using wires.
This technique allows for more compact and efficient designs, as components can be placed on both sides of the circuit board, leading to better performance and easier automated assembly processes.
Benefits of SMT supercapacitors include:
π High power density. They can charge and discharge rapidly, enabling them to release quick bursts of power needed in certain applications.
π Long lifecycles. They can endure hundreds of thousands to millions of charge-discharge cycles, which significantly reduces replacement costs.
π A wide operating temperature range. They are able to operate in extremely low temperatures (-40Β°C) to those as high as 85Β°C.
π A compact design. Their compact form factor makes them ideal for space-constrained devices.
π Low maintenance. They require less maintenance than traditional energy storage solutions and are far more reliable.
π Environmentally friendly. Their production uses less toxic materials than traditional batteries and their long life span means less waste.
SCHURTER Group is currently testing our new SMT supercapacitor product samples as part of our Technology Cooperation Agreement.
Our CEO Lars Stegmann went to Switzerland to review the results of Schurterβs tests just last week, and found them very promising. Stay tuned for more updates on our newest SMT products, which will be available in 2026.
β A question for our followers - what do you expect our SMT products to deliver: Capacitance [F], ESR [Ohm], or Voltage [V]?
