My little top up at 59p earlier was well timed for once!
Think of this “delay” as window to buy more shares at a bargain price.
I think the opening price of 66.5 was a bit ambitious, considering it closed at 64.3 and there’s been no news or RNS. I expect Andy Brough has been coining it in again!
Maybe tomorrow? The year end RNS for 2020 was on Tuesday (3 November)
Low volume but buys and sales have been neck and neck (in horse racing terms) all day.
Wouldn’t surprise me if it closed unchanged.
I when I first started investing in AFC back in February, I thought it was very speculative, a gamble almost. Almost 9 months on, It’s still speculative but to a much lesser degree. I think I’m in at the right time IMO.
Don’t forget Dave Sterlace (ABB) is presenting at the Phoenix conference today. I think he’s doing AFC presentation as well, due to Adam Bond being unavailable due to US COVID travel restrictions
Don’t blame the company, Ade, blame yourself for selling at a low price. I had a few jitters when it dropped to 43p (for transparency my average is 57.76p)….but I believe in the company and continue to hold all 7000 of my shares. Probably peanuts to some on here, but I’ve worked and saved hard to do this.
4% up, yeah it is struggling now, Ade. Fill your boots……good grief!!
I’d rather see positive posts like that, based on research, than all the other negative stuff, like “I’m selling” and the general whingeing that goes on.
That would be nice, neon. Very nice indeed. Feet firmly on the ground, calm, collected, level headed….but quietly excited!
Fingers-crossed, haggis. Keeping calm and level headed on the outside, but as excited as a kid in a sweet shop on the inside.
He did not say by the end of the year.....he said in the 2nd half of the calendar year!…..
Correct me if I’m wrong or missing the point, but doesn’t the 2nd half of the calendar year end at the end of the year? Or does it mysteriously disappear into a black hole towards the end of November/early December?.
I meant irrelevant :)
If you’re a long term investor, today’s closing price should be relevant.
More chance of Ousain Bolt beating Mo Farah in a Marathon!
Maybe something big happening behind the scenes. Although, if he was unavailable to travel to the US, surely he could participate via Teams?
The Hydrogen One Capital Growth fund has dropped back to 100.74, following it peaking at 117 a few weeks ago. It’s not just targeted at AFC. I’m a little concerned at the falling price, but it is what it is. I’m about a months wages down in my investment, but only on paper. I’d be a mug to press the Sell button now, so just have to sit tight for now.
Because this is a long term investment, not a “get rich quick” scheme.
It’s better to be conservative than over estimate and eat your own words later.
Haggis, I find your posts very insightful. As a newish investor (since February this year), I’m still learning the ropes!
