You may be out 25K, but be realistic. As has been pointed out, at the moment , it seems the only figures are estimates from the board and stated in the RNS, which you haven’t bothered to read or you wouldn’t be asking.
Or are you looking for validation, for a greater fool to come along and say, “we’ll get 15p”

Yes, absolutely. Well, how much anyone is willing to pay for them now, rather than their book or other value.

That sale is being conducted in Russia right now. I’m sure they have the best interests of the shareholders at heart, of course …

If they can pay enough for the assets to satisfy the bondholders. Why would they need to offer shareholders anything, what incentive would they have to give money away?

They don’t. They get back what they are owed.

POG sell assets to whoever and use the proceeds to pay their creditors and bondholders, what they are owed.

Anything left after those - employees, legal, taxes, creditors, bondholders - are paid - can be given back to shareholders.

How much, if anything, is determined by how much they can sell the assets for.

You could flog those for the cost of purchase, then
Buy a vanguard SP tracker and just forget about it.
Forget about it for as long as you can, ignoring the markets ups and downs then take a look after a decade or longer… maybe save some,
If you like mining stocks … (not advise) look at a company like Anglo Pacific.

Well Daqman if he gets anything it may be more than your POG shares are worth. Plenty on either side of the debate itself, yourself included- some seem to be getting a bit aggressive. The aggressive and smarmy rampers would do better to reflect first.

So you think all the volume is buys and one or two counterparties ? No day trading swings as per LSE before suspension?

And plenty of people pointed out that the UK plc could be split off from its Russian operations. When they defaulted on debt, the Russian operations were more or less working for bondholders not shareholders..

Pity the rampers had a tendency to either shout down or try to patronise people, when it was obvious there were emotionally invested in their own stocks. Trailing stop loss… I lost a bit on RCP but I’m down about 5% YTD… always have stop losses.

I think as pointed out by a few here, there is a big difference between the London PLC and what is the operations. Even if there were not based in Russia, but even more so.
InsiderKnowledge and a few others were obviously talking up their book but plenty on here we’re severely critical of posters even moderately suggesting a downside. Last week especially.
Theoretically not the end of the line but I would write off the loss tbh.
I used to work at Lehman and had to just pretend a few years of bonuses didn’t exist, so I know the feeling…

GPB sold the debt and waiver the rights to buy the gold. What relationship to POG do they still have?

I think they avoided immediate issue by changing the accounting period. So they’ve more time for Audit, AGM etc. which isn’t entirely unreasonable given the circumstances. Not sure when that pushes the deadline out to though, probably Sep? That’s a guess. Firms can and do temporarily suspend to get audit done if there are issues…
A lot can happen in that time of course.

The RNS states the buyer, it has to, it is Strukov.

It means someone is close to 30% of voting rights.

If they hit 30% then Takeover code means obligation to make a general offer to everyone.

From this, who knows, but it is very close, perhaps now would be a good time to offer, given the SP has been beaten down…

Short and index and be long the things you don’t want to short?
Do you really think that is the case here? How do you suppose someone would hide a short position in POG and do you honestly think people are hiding short positions in POG?

Are you sure? The shirt tracker website seems to indicate that there are no or <0.5% short positions.
Doesn’t seem to be any real activity at the moment.
I would guess apart from gamblers, everyone is in wait and see mode?
